Day 7 - Stilts
Construction sites fascinate me. Each project is a massive undertaking with plans, budgets, extensive man-hours, and so many other details, yet somehow, whether seamlessly or not, everything eventually comes together to produce a final product.
Living in Dallas means that construction is a daily thing, even more so if you work directly off of I-635 which I do. To say 635 is under construction would be an understatement. at 2.7 Billion dollars, 635 is being completely remade with a new traffic flow that will quite literally double its previous capacity. While I hate driving in the 635 construction, I love photographing it.
Each morning I drive underneath one of the recently completed overpasses that takes the west-bound traffic to I-35 North. The number of supports this one overpass required has intrigued me since construction began, an array of stilts.
