365 Photo Project - Day 32 - The Road Ends Here

Day 32 - The Road Ends Here

I recently purchased a handgun (thanks Mike!), and I went out to the range this morning with my dad to try it out (she shoots like a dream). On the way to the range we passed this small forest and I told my dad that I would like to stop there on the way home. What initially drew me to the area was the trees with very little underbrush, and I was trying to avoid the mud because I thought it looked tacky. But after taking a few photos of just the trees I wasn't satisfied so framed up again, this time including the muddy trail.

The whole scene was very interesting, it was a fresh construction site, so I was standing on a gravel road looking out into where a new path would be created, but was barely even started. For the time being, the road ends here.
