Day 19 - The Craftsman
You know that person that can fix just about anything? That person you go to when your car has broken down, and after he helps you fix your car, he teaches you how to lay tile, the proper way to use a compound miter saw, and grills a mean steak, that guy? My Uncle Rick is that kind of guy. Whether he realizes it or not he's taught me quite a bit about repairs, wood working, landscaping, and just about any other home improvement project you could imagine.
But more than that he's taught me quite a bit about being a real man; how to love my wife better, how to model my life after that of Christ, and he demonstrates daily how to groom a killer beard.
My parents were in town for the weekend and we all went out for a little get together at a nearby restaurant. I grabbed my camera, deciding to do a portrait for today's photo. I've held off on doing portraits because they comprise a majority of my portfolio, but I figured it was time. While eating and chatting, I snapped this photo of my Uncle Rick.
