Day 60 - Uphill
Stephanie and I went to North Park Mall today to window shop and see a movie. I decided to take my picture on the way home, and thought the columns in the parking garage made for a very eye catching photo. I pulled over, popped the trunk, got my camera out, and was stopped by security, apparently you can't take any photos of the building or the structures. He decided to follow me around, make sure I got back into my car, then pulled sharply behind me as I left the parking lot and I watched him take down my license plate number.
Unfortunately, because I was on private commercial property, I could not take photos as they requested, if however, I have been on public property, they could not have prevented me from taking the photos. I've done a fair amount of reading about photographer's rights in taking photos, and it's something I plan to continue researching, but I feel it is something that needs to be researched by most everyone as cameras become more ubiquitous; know your rights, this doesn't have to be an uphill battle.
Anyways, the photo I took was of the parking garage across the street for Park Lane.
